Can observing logs be imported from other products?

Question: I have about 300 observations in another product. I would like to import those observations. My problem is that the other product will export only to Excel, Unformatted text, or comma delimited. It appears that DSP will only pull in data in XML format.  I took a look at the format and it seems rather complicated.  Any ideas, suggestions or pointers on getting those observations in without having to re-type everything?
